Spring has sprung!
Let’s talk about instructional videos, shall we? As the owner of multiple businesses, it’s always surprising to me how often companies don’t leverage their best employees/best practices. At Spotburner, we aim to change this. For instance, in the healthcare space, we’ve done multiple instructional videos as well as notebook tutorials which help less experienced employees perform at optimal levels.
In the Financial Services industry, doesn’t it make sense to take, for instance, your best underwriter or funder and put a comprehensive tutorial together for your less experienced people?
So now that you can see why instructional videos may make sense for your business, let’s talk about a few other factors. First off, the quality of what you show your employees should be high. Why? Well, if you want your employees to perform at a high level, it makes sense to have any teaching tools they interact with be of the highest standard. Second, cost. Even high quality work can be done efficiently and at an attractive price point if you choose the right production company (hint, hint…).
Lastly, I strongly suggest that whatever video work you engage in, make sure the content/quality will hold up over time and you get enough content for re-purposing when your needs change. Re-editing is much less expensive than re-shooting.
Hope this helps!
